The CDC driver helps in establishing a proper connection between an Android device and a Windows 10/7/8/8.1 PC. CDC serial driver helps in connecting your phone as a modem or serial device to offer communication over Android development tool like ADB. .Includes the following version of of the Windows operating system: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 8, 8.1, Windows server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10. Also, as Windows 8 RT is a closed system not allowing for 3rd party driver installation our Windows 8 driver will not support this variant of the OS.

Do not connect your CC3200 LaunchPad to your PC. If you already plugged it into your PC then unplug it before proceeding to step 2.
Download the CC3200 Drivers for Windows: CC3200 LaunchPad CDC drivers zip file for Windows 32 and 64 bit. This driver package will install all drivers for all LaunchPads.
Unzip and double click 'Install Energia Drivers for Windows 32 bit' for Windows 32 bit or 'Install Energia Drivers for Windows 64 bit' for Windows 64 bit.
Follow the installer instructions.
Connect your CC3200 LaunchPad to your PC. The CC3200 will be automatically recognized.
For Windows 8 and 10 users you may need to disable your signed driver feature, follow this guide: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/disabling-driver-signature-on-windows-8

Make sure jumpers are connected on LaunchPad and you get a green or red power LED turning on when connected via USB
Restart Energia
Restart computer (shouldn’t be required but may help)
Right click and run DPinst.exe or DPinst64.exe as administrator
