The problem with this approach is the program is only accessible when you have an internet connection. If you worry about the stability of your connection, this is likely to be a problem for you.

Spiceworks IP Scanner has clearly been well designed, and care has been taken in devising features to make scanning faster and simpler. The dashboard is easy to navigate, allowing you to filter your list of devices according to several components. Status reports can be exported to a CSV file, converted into a spreadsheet, or both.
